How to use this tool

This subscription calculator turns a pile of small recurring charges into one clear number. Start with the rows below, type the name of each service (Netflix, Spotify, iCloud, a gym app, whatever you pay for) and how much it costs. Pick the billing cycle for each one: monthly, yearly, or weekly. Click "Add subscription" for as many services as you have, then press "Calculate total". The tool shows your combined monthly cost, the full annual subscription cost, and flags the single biggest drain so you know where to cut first.

How it works

monthly cost (per item) = price / 1 (if monthly), price / 12 (if yearly), or price × 4.345 (if weekly)
monthly total = sum of every item's monthly cost
yearly total = monthly total × 12

Every subscription is first converted to a common monthly figure so they can be added together fairly. A yearly plan is divided by 12, and a weekly charge is multiplied by 4.345 (the average number of weeks in a month). The monthly total is the sum of all those converted amounts, and the yearly total is simply that figure times twelve. This is how you spot the "hidden app drain" that one or two dollars at a time quietly adds up to over a full year.

A real example

Say you pay $15.49 a month for streaming video, $10.99 a month for music, $2.99 a month for cloud storage, and $99.00 once a year for a fitness app. The yearly app is $99.00 / 12 = $8.25 per month. Adding it all up: 15.49 + 10.99 + 2.99 + 8.25 = $37.72 per month. Multiply by 12 and your true annual subscription cost is $452.64. The fitness app may feel cheap as a yearly charge, but the streaming bill is clearly the biggest single drain on your monthly budget.

Common questions

What does this subscription calculator actually count?

It counts any recurring charge you enter: streaming services, music, cloud storage, news, gaming passes, productivity apps, and more. It converts each one to a monthly figure, then gives you the monthly total and the full yearly app subscription cost.

How do I track a streaming service expense billed yearly?

Enter the full annual price and set the cycle to "Yearly". The tool divides it by 12 so it sits next to your monthly bills on equal footing, which makes comparing them honest.

What is the hidden app drain analysis?

After you calculate, the tool highlights the single subscription with the highest monthly cost. Small charges hide easily, so seeing the largest one first tells you where cancelling will save the most money.

Is my data saved or sent anywhere?

No. Everything runs in your browser using plain JavaScript. Nothing you type is uploaded, stored, or shared, and the numbers disappear when you close the page.

Are these numbers exact?

They are accurate estimates based on what you enter. Weekly plans use an average month length, and prices can change or include taxes and fees. This is for educational and budgeting use, not professional financial advice.
