How to use this tool

This affiliate commission splitter tool turns a single commission into a clean payout for every partner involved in a deal. First, enter the total commission you received in US dollars. Then list each party (an affiliate, a sub-affiliate, a network manager, an influencer, or your own house cut) and give each one a split percentage. Use the Add party button to include as many people as you need. The running total at the bottom shows whether your percentages add up to 100%. When everything balances, click Split commission and the tool shows each party's exact payout. You can copy the breakdown to send to your partners or download it as a CSV for your records.

How the split commission math works

payout = total commission × (party percentage ÷ 100)

A revenue share split is simply each party's percentage applied to the same total. Because percentages are proportions of the whole, all the splits must add up to 100% so the full commission is distributed and nothing is left over or double counted. The tool validates this for you: if your percentages sum to anything other than 100%, it will not run and instead tells you how far off you are. To avoid rounding gaps, the last party absorbs any leftover cent so the individual payouts always add back to the exact total.

A real example

Say a campaign pays a $1,000 commission that three people share. The lead affiliate takes 50%, the influencer who drove the traffic takes 30%, and the network manager keeps 20%. Running the numbers: the lead affiliate gets $1,000 × 0.50 = $500.00, the influencer gets $1,000 × 0.30 = $300.00, and the network manager gets $1,000 × 0.20 = $200.00. The three payouts add back to exactly $1,000.00, which matches the original commission.

Common questions

Why do my split percentages have to equal 100%?

The percentages describe how the whole commission is divided, so they must cover 100% of it. If they total less, part of the commission is unassigned; if they total more, you would be paying out more than you received. The tool blocks the calculation until the splits balance to 100%.

Can I split a commission between more than three parties?

Yes. Click Add party to include as many partners as your deal needs, such as a network manager, several influencers, and a house cut. As long as all the percentages add up to 100%, the tool will calculate every payout.

How does the tool handle rounding on uneven splits?

Each payout is rounded to the nearest cent, then the final party absorbs any tiny remainder so the listed payouts always sum back to the exact total commission. This prevents the common problem where three equal one-third splits would otherwise be off by a penny.

Is my commission and partner data sent anywhere?

No. This is a fully client-side tool. Every calculation happens in your browser, and the figures you type are never uploaded to a server, saved, or shared.

Can I use this for revenue share splits outside of affiliate marketing?

Yes. Although it is built for affiliate and influencer payouts, the same logic works for any revenue share split, such as dividing a freelance project fee, a referral bonus, or a partnership payout among collaborators.
