Google Review Link Generator

Turn your Google Place ID into a direct link that opens the review box for your business.

Runs entirely in your browser. Your Place ID is never uploaded anywhere.

How to use this tool

Paste your business Place ID into the box and press Generate review link. The tool builds the direct write-review URL for your Google Business Profile and shows it in the output box. Use the Copy link button to grab it, then drop the customer feedback link into your email signature, receipts, text messages, thank-you cards, or a QR code. When a customer opens it, Google takes them straight to the star-rating and review box for your business, with no searching required.

How to find your Google Place ID

Every business listed on Google Maps has a unique Place ID, a short code that identifies the location. The quickest way to find yours is the Google Place ID Finder. Open Google's official "Place ID Finder" page, type your business name and address into the search box on the map, and click your listing. A small info window shows the Place ID, which usually starts with ChIJ. Copy that value and paste it above. You can also pull the Place ID with the Google Maps Platform if your developer already uses the Places API.

How the review link is built

https://search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid=YOUR_PLACE_ID

The tool takes the Place ID you enter, trims any stray spaces, and attaches it to Google's standard write-review endpoint shown above. Because that endpoint points directly at the review form for a single location, the resulting review request URL skips the usual search and "leave a review" clicks. The Place ID itself is URL-safe, so no extra encoding is needed; the tool simply confirms the value looks valid before assembling the final link. Nothing is sent to a server, so the same link is produced whether you are online or offline after the page loads.

A real example

Suppose your coffee shop has the Place ID ChIJN1t_tDeuEmsRUsoyG83frY4. Paste it in, press Generate, and the tool returns:

https://search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid=ChIJN1t_tDeuEmsRUsoyG83frY4

Share that link on a receipt or in a follow-up text such as "Thanks for visiting, we would love your feedback." A customer who taps it lands on the review box for your shop and can leave a star rating in seconds. To make it even friendlier on printed material, paste this URL into any QR code or short-link service to create a business short code.

Common questions

What is a Google Place ID?

A Place ID is a unique text code that Google assigns to every place on Google Maps, including your business. It identifies one specific location even if several businesses share a similar name, which is why the review link is built around it rather than around your business name.

Where do I find my Place ID?

Use Google's official Place ID Finder. Search for your business on the map, click your listing, and copy the Place ID shown in the info window. It usually begins with the letters ChIJ. Paste that value into the tool above.

Why use a direct review link instead of my profile URL?

A direct write-review URL opens the star-rating and review box immediately, while a plain profile link makes the customer hunt for the review button. Removing those extra clicks is one of the simplest ways to collect more reviews from happy customers.

Can I turn this into a short code or QR code?

Yes. Copy the generated review request URL and paste it into any QR code generator or link shortener. The short code or QR image then points to the same direct review box, which is handy for receipts, table tents, and packaging.

Does this tool send my data anywhere?

No. The link is assembled entirely inside your browser from the Place ID you type. Nothing is uploaded, stored, or shared, so the tool works the same even if you disconnect after loading the page.
